I came across a post about Denon cables, and one of their many offerings is a premium Ethernet cable.
These fine people offer this premium quality 8 core CAT5 Ethernet cable at the basement bargain price of ONLY $499.
Let’s quickly dissect the product blurb:
ultra premium Denon Link cable was designed for the audio enthusiast.
Also known as the gullible individual looking to spend too many $$$ for an overpriced piece of equipment in order to achieve the ultimate in audio quality.
Made from high purity copper wire and high performance connection parts
It’s an Ethernet cable. They’re all made to a similar standards and most are capable of supporting up to 1 gigabit of data throughput.
Attention to detail when building this cable was used by empoying high quality insulation, tin-bearing alloy shielding and woven jacketing to reduce vibration and to add durability.
Wow, what a load of cobblers.
1. Plastic is an awesome insulator. Price: $0.03 x 2
2. If shielding is a priority, why are the RJ45 connectors not properly insulated? Price: $0.80 x 2
3. How the woven jacket is going to protect the cable from vibration is beyond me. Price: $1.50 x 1
“empoying”? For $499 per cable, I would expect Denon could afford a spell checker.
signal directional markings are provided for optimum signal transfer
Silk screened arrows on the plug improve signal transfer?
Clearly there is a market for this premium product. Where can I sign up to be an agent, please?
